Dr. SaBrina White

Dr. SaBrina “Bre” White, otherwise known as “Dr. Bre,” is in her 29th year as a student-athlete support services professional and enters her 23rd year at SDSU, where she is the Assistant Athletic Director of Student Athlete Engagement. She works directly with the Aztec football team (offense), as well as the men's golf, and cross country and track and field squads, but she is known to support all student athletes in all sports. White also helps coordinate the department's community service program and works with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in their efforts to bring the student athlete voice to the department. White also works with the Aztecs Going Pro (AGP) program to bring former student athletes back to campus and get them involved in networking events, Dinner with an Aztec and participating in our senior seminar course.
Prior to coming to San Diego State, White was an academic coordinator at Utah State for six years (1994-2000). Bre started her career as an interim academic coordinator at her alma mater in 1994 right after graduation, she was hired as a full-time academic coordinator in 1995. With the Aggies, she served as an advisor for the football, men's basketball, women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's golf, softball, gymnastics, and men's and women's tennis and track and field teams.
White earned two degrees from Utah State. White earned a degree in liberal arts and science, and later earned a second bachelor's degree in business. While employed at SDSU, White earned her master's degree in 2007, in Postsecondary Educational Leadership and Student Affairs, and was tabbed the college of education's outstanding graduate student for the program that year. White continued her education by earning her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in 2011, in Community College/Postsecondary Educational Leadership, completing her dissertation on "Transfer Shock and the Student-Athlete". Being the first person to research transfer shock and the student athlete population.
Born in Wethersfield, England, White enjoys boxing, crocheting, creative projects and yoga. And in the summer of 2022 completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training and became a certified yoga instructor.
