Eric Simpson has been a jump coach at Sunset High School for the past 26 seasons.  After graduating from Sunset High School in 1990, Eric went on to the University of Washington a competed in the Decathlon and finished his career in the 1995 Pac10 Championships in Tucson.   Eric got hooked and fell in love with coaching when his mom (Sunset High School Teacher) shared an opening and need for a jump coach at Sunset in 1998.  The love for Track and Field started early for Eric as his father, Leonard Simpson an All-American Miler from University of California at Berkeley and 2-time Olympic trials participant, began some serious running by age 6!
