Ian joined a youth club at age 12 and has competed every year since. He is the national indoor record holder for 3000m for Scotland. The second fastest Scottish athlete ever at 5000m (13:18.06). He is a Member of the British record team in the 4XMile. Ian Ran in the world Cross Country champs, Euro indoors, Commonwealth Games, World Road Relay, Diamond leagues. He is a Sub Four minute miler and competed in races all over the world from the far East to Africa to Europe to America. Ian is also the head cross country coach and Distance coach for Beaverton High School.
