Hashim Hall – Track & Field Coach

A lifelong Oregonian, I grew up in Portland and competed in track from middle school through college at Portland State University.

I’ve been coaching track and field since 2003. In 2009, I founded my club program, which I rebranded post-COVID as the Inner Circle Track Club. The name reflects our foundational values: Community, Integrity, Responsibility, Character, Love, and Effort. Together with an outstanding team of dedicated coaches, we’ve built a program that prioritizes holistic athlete development.

Over the years, Inner Circle athletes have achieved significant success, earning numerous medals and championships at the national, USATF, state, and regional levels. We’re especially proud of guiding many young athletes to collegiate opportunities, including scholarships and placements at universities such as Illinois, Cornell, Oregon, Oregon State, Princeton, Penn State, USC, Iowa State, Michigan, UCLA, Arizona, Portland State, Colorado State, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Boise State, Biola, Western Oregon, Western Washington, Eastern Oregon, and more.

Since 2015, I’ve served as Head Track & Field Coach at Tualatin High School, where our teams have consistently performed at a high level. Highlights include state championships for both the boys’ and girls’ programs, along with strong showings in league and postseason competition.

For me, youth track & field is about more than times and places—it’s about helping young athletes discover and realize their full potential, on and off the track.
