Scott Skipper

Coach Skipper enters his fourth season as the throws coach at Clackamas.

Scott has accumulated eight NWAC champions, ten NWAC All-Americans and seventeen placers
in his time at Clackamas. He has also coached school records in the women’s hammer
throw (176’6”) and the men’s shot put (60’11.25”) along with thirteen top ten
performances in school history.

He had the top throws program in the NWAC in 2024 where his throwers won four events, NWAC All-American in six events and four placers.

Henry Buckles went on to Texas State where he was ranked seventh in the indoor shot
put for NCAA Division I and ranked twentieth in the country according to the USATF
performance list.

Five of his athletes that transferred to division I schools scored at their
respective conference championships in the 2025 season as well as one at his NAIA
conference championship.

Scott heads up the Super Throwers Track Club at the Clackamas track and field facility
where the athletes train at the state of the art Lila Skipper Throws Facility.

He has coached many nationally ranked throwers, state champions and scorers at their
respective state meets.

Coach Skipper uses his experience of competing in football
and throwing javelin at the University of Oregon to impart how to be successful.
